What to Watch on International Day
By Jeffrey Marcus
September 6, 2007
This weekend, instead of the usual slate of FSC-GolTV-RAI-Telemundo league games, there will be nearly two dozen international soccer matches (Euro 2008 qualifiers and friendlies) to watch on television.
If you get Setanta Sports, the Irish satellite channel available on the Dish Network and DirecTV, consider yourself ámharach. You will get to watch four games on Saturday, including Sweden vs. Denmark live. Replays of other games will be televised over the next few days when Setanta isn’t showing live Rugby World Cup coverage.
The Setanta premium channel, available at your nearest soccer pub, will show two marquee matches: England vs. Israel and Portugal vs. Poland.
